On September 22, 1961, Mary was born to Marvin H. Fletcher and Joan (Brown) Farmer in Oklahoma City. The family moved often during Mary's childhood. She graduated from Shawnee High School. After high school, Mary went on to work as a paralegal where she continuously demonstrated her dedication and attention to detail.
Along the way, she met Stephen Baker. They were married in September of 1993. Their marriage was blessed with two daughters. From that time on her life would be centered around her family. When not helping family and friends Mary enjoyed reading history, mysteries, and her favorite book, the Bible, she also held a special place in her heart for her pets. However, what she enjoyed most was spending time with family members, especially during Thanksgiving.
Survivors include her parents: Marvin Fletcher, Joan Farmer; daughters: Rebekah Galloway and Margaret Baker; siblings: Kenneth Fletcher, Ann Holly, Jane Chouinard, Martha Jones, numerous nieces, and nephews as well as her dear friend Jamie Leach. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Stephen in 2007.
