Agra resident Michael Pequano, 69, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 in Tulsa.Tribal services will be held Tuesday evening at the Patterson home (N. Bryan St., Shawnee) and burial will be Wednesday morning at the Old Dance Grounds Cemetery. Service are being handled by Walker Funeral Service. Michael was born July 28, 1948 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Vernon and Maxine Pequano. He graduated high school in Rogers, AR, and attended O.S.U. Tech in Okmulgee. He worked as an Engineer for several oil companies that allowed him to travel worldwide. He was a member of the Sac and Fox Tribe, the Thunder Clan, and was a direct descendant of Blackhawk. Many of Michael’s ancestors were leaders of the tribe. He enjoyed golfing, photography, was an artist, played the Indian Flute, and was an avid O.U. fan. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Jerry Mack Bealle,Survivors include 1 Son: Shane Pequano and wife Sarah of Ft. Worth, TX, 2 Grandchildren: Kellen and Bennett Pequano of Ft. Worth, Brother: Curtis Pequano of Tahoma, OK, And several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
