Murel Longnecker, 72, passed away with his loving family by his side after a long hard fight with cancer Saturday morning. Murel was born November 22, 1945 to Clyde and Vera Longnecker.He was born in Taloga, Oklahoma and raised in Kansas before joining the US. Army Reserve from 1963 to 1968. In April of 1969, Murel married Nancy Brown. Murel worked for Tinker Air Force Base until August of 2001, retiring with 33 years of Civilian Service.Murel is survived by his loving wife Nancy of 49 years, their daughters and spouses, Tammy and Fredie Green, Pamela and Allan Grubb, and Amanda and Zack Hasbell, six grandchildren, Trevor and Shelby Hasbell, Codey Green, Skylar, Piper, Presley Grubb, Twin sister Pearl Covey, Brother Boyd and Debbie Longnecker. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, lifelong friends, and Nancy Burlison.Proceeding him in death, Parents Clyde and Vera. Brothers Bobbie Gene, Billy Gene, Floyd and Lloyd. In laws John Paul and Mary Brown, Brother in law Terry Brown, and Sister in law Judy Brown.
