Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Clarehouse Hospice House, 7617 S. Mingo, Tulsa, OK 74133.Jeane was born February 26, 1929 in Bristow, OK to Clyde S. & Thelma O. (Dawson) Flickinger. She attended Bristow High School. After high school, Jeane attended the Conservatory of Music in Chicago and later to Oklahoma University, where she was active in Alpha Phi Sorority, and the Glee Club. On June 11, 1950 she married Roy O. Kelly, Jr. in Bristow. Jeane was a homemaker and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church Choir, Bridge Club, Ladies Medical Auxiliary, PTA and a Camp Fire Leader. Jeane's greatest achievement was her devotion to family - and that was not limited to her four children. Anyone who walked within a one-foot radius of the Kelly home was immediately offered food, a hug or a dip in the pool. You were never supposed to knock, but just walk right in. "Nene" as everyone came to know her, certainly never met a stranger without making them feel like family. Her home was the gathering place for every holiday, birthday and celebration of any kind. Whether caring for those in need or cooking Sunday dinners that, by her own words, could feed an army (and sometimes did - even the dogs received their own plate), Jeane's home, and her heart, held more love than most people see in a lifetime.Jeane never missed an opportunity to join in the fun. She played charades and poker with the kids, fished with the boys, joined in baseball games in the park, pushed grandkids in the swing and cheered on every game of pool volleyball. She never hesitated to share photos and stories of her life, to cook a meal when you were hungry or quite literally stop and smell the roses with you. And she did it all with a smile on her face. After she moved to Aberdeen Heights in Tulsa, she continued to sing in the choir and participate in activities like bingo, dominos, crafts and the senior games. Sharing was her passion. It's safe to say that she instilled many of her wonderful qualities in those who knew her; and in that way, she will continue to share for years to come. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dr. Roy O.
