P. Claudine Kieferle-Penisten passed away while surrounded by her family's love on Friday, February 24, 2023. Claudine was born September 11, 1953, in Ventura, CA to Eugene Julius Kieferle and Patricia Cornelia (Sesma) Pratt. She graduated from Niceville Senior High School and Ben Eielson High School. She received her Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies from Anchorage Community College. Claudine was the co-owner of Done In Time Legal Billing Services with her daughter. Claudine lived in Alaska for over 30 years and gained many friends that became a part of her family.
Claudine married her best friend, Patrick Anthony Penisten on February 23, 2000 in Hawaii. They moved from Anchorage, Alaska to Shawnee, Oklahoma in 2013. She enjoyed fishing and clamming in Alaska, gardening, cooking, diamond painting, writing poetry, and having BBQ's & dinners with her family and friends. She was always helping anyone that was in need. She donated her time and creative ideas to the Diabetic Association and to the Anchorage Glacier Pilots Baseball team.
Claudine was a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She had devoted her time to St. Francis within her church.
Claudine’s achievements include owning her own business, The Sportsman Tavern in Gold Hill, Oregon, she was a straight A student from K to College and received the Presidential Athletic Award from President Kennedy while in grade school.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Patricia, her son, Travis Tucker, and her sister, Karen Lafferty-Yurcik.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Patrick Penisten of Shawnee, OK, her daughter, Cornelia (Cori) Penisten of Shawnee, OK, grandson, Trevor Driver of Anchorage, AK, grandson, Travis (Little Man) Boyd of Shawnee, OK, granddaughter, Neelia (Rosepetal) Boyd of Shawnee, OK, sister, Adriana Willis of Alaska, brother-in-law, Mike Penisten of Shawnee, OK, nephews, Andrew Pratt of Alaska, Eric Willis of Utah, Richard Cota of New Mexico, Patrick Penisten of Oklahoma and her nieces, Olivia Willis of Alaska, Michelle Penisten-Banfield and Kimberly Reed-Penisten of Oklahoma, 3 great nieces and 1 great nephew, along with many lifelong loving friends. Special thank you for the love, friendship and support to the Fowler family of Meeker, Oklahoma, Anice Young and Carole Dolchok of Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Rosary will be held at St. Benedict's Catholic Church on Monday, March 6th at 7:00 P.M. with the Mass to be on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. Abbot Lawrence Stasyszen, O.S.B. and Fr. Joseph Schwarz officiants. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Shawnee, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to a charity of your choice or to the Anchorage Glacier Pilots in honor of Claudine Kieferle.
