Born on August 1, 1949, Peggy Pecore lost her battle to cancer on September 29, 2023. She worked in Human Resources and accounting at Flowserve, Worthington Pump Division, transferred to work in Virginia, and returned home to Oklahoma to work for Winter Wringer, Inc. A lifelong lover of music, avid traveler, and proud member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, she will be remembered fondly for her storytelling, sense of humor, and loyal devotion to her family and friends.
Peggy was preceded in death by parents Autwin "A.B." and Iness Logan Pecore; brothers Anthony "Tony", Edward, and David Pecore; sisters Delia Zientek and Mary Alice New; brothers-in-law John Oglesby, and Julian Zientek; and sister-in-law Frankie Dickenson Pecore Bland; nephews Andrew Zientek, Anthony "Tony" Pecore and Phillip Oglesby; and nieces Lissia and Sherrie Pecore.
She is survived by her sister Catherine Oglesby, brother-in-law George Bland; sisters-in-law Rebecca Scullawl Pecore and Hannelore Neuroth Pecore; and several nieces and nephews, including Theresa Talbot, Michael Zientek, Cecelia Lenggenhager, Mary Elizabeth Zientek, Margaret Zientek, and Timothy Zientek; Greg Oglesby and Tina Oglesby-Foster; Linda Yott, Deana Pecore Hoffner, David Ryan, and Jacob Pecore; and John, Tom, and Ron Pecore. She also served a special role in the lives of her great-nieces Patience and Payton Cooper and great-nephew Odin Sanders.
A memorial ceremony for Peggy will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Walker Funeral Chapel.
