Vian resident Philip Andrew Wilkins, 72, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Jamison Cemetery. Viewing will be Friday from 8am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 10am at Walker Funeral Service.
Philip was born July 14, 1951 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Clarence Wilkins and Loretta (Turner) Wilkins. He graduated from McLoud High School where his love for sports let to a career of umpiring high school baseball and softball and refereeing high school basketball for 50 years. He also spent some time at the collegiate level. He had lived most of his life in McLoud but moved to Vian in 1994. On August 5, 2002, he married Marlene (Prober). Philip enjoyed fishing and relaxing when he had a break from officiating.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Marlene Wilkins of the home, 2 brothers, Timothy Wilkins and wife Lisa of Edmond and Randall Wilkins of McLoud, and several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
