Ray Harvey Jones

Ray Harvey Jones, resident of Rogers, AR, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. He was 81 years old. Ray was born on September 8, 1941, in El Reno, OK to his parents, James H. Jones and Clara L. Jones. Ray worked in sales for several large companies including Coca-Cola, Cains, Harkers, and Wal-Mart. He married Sophie Anna Hall in Pampa, TX on October 10, 1981. The couple were long-time residents of central Oklahoma residing in the OKC, Dale, and Pink areas. 

Ray enjoyed woodworking and crafts. He was a bass fisherman and enjoyed fishing in the local lakes and ponds as well as at Puget Sound in Washington. He and his wife made some wonderful memories while traveling throughout the United States. Ray was a faithful member of the Church of Christ attending in Dale, Tecumseh, and Gordonville, TX. Every Sunday, even while traveling, Ray and Ann attended Sunday service at the Church of Christ. 

Ray was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter. 

He is survived by his wife, Ann of Rogers, AR, son, Richard Lee Jones of Midwest City, step-sons, William Reser of Oklahoma City, Daniel Reser of Bentonville, AR, David Reser, of Oklahoma City, and Benjamin Reser of Lexington, OK, adopted brother, Jimmy Jones of Oklahoma City, eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and numerous extended family. 

Those who wish to say good-bye to Ray may do so at Walker Funeral & Cremation Service on Friday, February 17, 2023 from 8-5pm. A funeral ceremony will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the Dale Church of Christ with Gene Deckard officiating.
