Reba Jo (Wano) Conway, age 67, Shawnee resident passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022 in Shawnee.
Reba was born April 25, 1954 in Pawnee, OK to Rev. Franklin S. Wano and Dorothy L. (Turner) Wano. She grew up in Shawnee and graduated from Shawnee High School in 1972. She later attended Gordon Cooper Vo-Tech and Seminole State College. She married Floyd A Conway in 1976 and had four children: Brian, Eva Rena, David and Dustin. Reba was a long time resident of Tecumseh. She was also a member of Citizen Potawatomi Nation and loved her Indian heritage. She loved researching all that she could about it.
Reba grew up in church her entire life. She attended the Full Gospel Assembly Church, in Tecumseh, where her father, Rev Franklin Wano, was the pastor until his death in 1989.
She never met a stranger she didn't know and loved everyone she came into contact with. Her light shined so bright and her heart was as big as the sea. The love she had for her family was immeasurable and was without end. Family always came first. She was an avid singer and piano player. She touched many people's lives with her gospel singing. If she wasn't singing and playing the piano, she was talking about the Lord. She never missed a chance to do so.
Survivors include her children, David Conway of Shawnee, Dustin Conway of Choctaw, and Eva Rena Conway of Midwest City and two grandchildren, Coby Conway and Kayedence Conway. Reba was preceded in death by her son, Brian Conway, husband, Floyd Conway, sister, Deborah Robinson and brother, Dale Wano.
For friends and loved ones who wish to send flowers and pay their respects to Reba, a memorial ceremony will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the CPN North Reunion Hall in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Arrangements are under the direction of Walker Funeral & Cremation Service.
