Rev. Leroy Kerbo

Rev. Leroy Kerbo, age 86 of Shawnee died Wednesday March 22, 2023, in a local nursing center.

Leroy was born August 28, 1936 in Binger, Oklahoma to Floyd and Floy (McNatt) Kerbo. He went to see Jesus on March 22, 2023. On August 14, 1954, Leroy married Sue (Sellers) Kerbo in Walters, Oklahoma. On November 5, 1955, a daughter Glenna was born and then on July 10, 1958, a son Ken made the family complete.

Leroy was preceded in death by his Grandparents Carson and Mimi Kerbo, his Parents, Sister and Brother-in-law Irene and James Vance, Brother and sister-in-law Raymond and Joyce Kerbo, and Sister Wanda and Brother-in-law Herman Whittaker. Father and Mother-in-law Gardie and Minnie Sellers, Brother-in-law Troy Sellers, Brother and Sister-in-law Bill and Juanell Sellers, and Brother-in-law Jerry Sellers.

Leroy is survived by his wife Sue Kerbo, Daughter Glenna Chambers (Don), Son Ken Kerbo (Glenda), Granddaughters Tara Henson (Mike), Misty Yort (Greg), and Lindsey Odell (Josh). Grandson Ryan Linkous, Great Grandsons Blake Yort (Monica), Roman Henson, Kolton Barnell, Easton Odell, Mason Odell, and Seth Linkous. Great Granddaughters Ella Henson, Scarlett Barnell, and Ivy Linkous. Brother Harold Kerbo (Doris). Also, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and church family.

Leroy Pastored for over 50 years for the Church of God in Mangum, Oklahoma, Chickasha, Oklahoma, and Shawnee, Oklahoma retiring in 2012.

A funeral ceremony will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at C3 Cross Connection Church of God, 329 N. Pesotum in Shawnee with Pastor Ken Kerbo officiating.  Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with family will be Friday, March 24th from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Walker Funeral Service.
