Reva M. Pingleton

Reva M. Lester was born on March 30, 1928 at the Celestine farm of her parents, G.T. and Edna Mae Lester. She was second youngest of ten children. Her earthly life ended on Sunday, April 2, 2023 as she went on to her heavenly home.

Reva graduated from McAlester High School as part of the Class of 1945. She married Jim Boyd on June 17, 1946 in Sherman, Texas. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1975. On October 1, 1976, Reva married Warren Pingleton in Poteau, OK. He preceded her in death on January 9, 2011. Reva was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in McAlester.

Reva is survived by her daughter, Theresa Gragg and husband Bob of Shawnee, OK; step-son, Pete Pingleton and wife Sue of Shawnee Mission, KS; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many dear nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Janis Boyd in 1961; husband, Jim Boyd in 1975; her second husband, Warren Pingleton in 2011; parents; brothers, Earl Lester, Andrew Lester, Herman Lester, Clarence Lester, and G.T. Lester; her sisters, Erma Lester, Lorene Johnston, Wilma Arnold, and Areta Shepherd.

A graveside ceremony for Reva will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 10:00 am at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Pittsburg County, OK.
