Rex Hilburn

Shawnee resident Rex Hilburn, 80, died Monday, January 20 in an Enid hospital.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 25 at Fairview Cemetery, under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.

Rex was born April 27, 1939 in Hobart, Oklahoma to Earl Woodrow Hilburn and Lucille Hilburn. He graduated from Hobart High School. He married Linda Carol Hilburn, and worked in heating and air at General Motors. He was a member of the Army National Guard. Rex loved sports, especially OU Sooners and Dallas Cowboys. He loved cars, and was a jack of all trades, and could do anything he put his mind to. Most of all, he loved his wife Linda.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Hilburn, daughter Cindy Hilburn, sister Emma Lou Williams, brother Jerry Hilburn, and his parents, Woodrow & Lucille Hilburn Rex is survived by a son, Richard Hilburn and grandchildren, Amy Wollard, Michael Hawkins, Amber Brown, Stacy Hilburn, Ricky Hilburn and Skyla Hilburn, his sisters, Donna Barr and Barbara Cagle, and many nieces and nephews.
