Richard Henry Dolin

Shawnee resident Richard H. Dolin, 75, passed away Friday, September 28, 2018 in Oklahoma City.A wake service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Sunday, September 30, at Walker Funeral Service Chapel. Funeral Mass will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 1, at St Benedict Catholic Church with Rev. Balaswamy Mandagiri officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.Richard was born July 3, 1943 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Joseph E. Dolin and Evelyn (Zahasky) Dolin. He attended St. Benedict Catholic School, graduated from St. Gregory High School, and later graduated from St. Gregory Jr. College. He served in the United States Navy aboard the attack carrier USS Kitty Hawk CVA-63 in the South China Sea and from 64 to 65 he served at Naval Communication Station, Adak, Alaska. He married Rebecca (Philpott) in 1970. Richard owned and operated Dolin Electric INC. for many years in Shawnee. He was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church and a 50 year member of the Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Robert DolinSurvivors include his Wife: Rebecca Dolin of the home,Daughter: Elizabeth Dolin of Sand Springs, OK,Brothers and Sister: Pat Dolin of Santa Fe, NM,Maureen Gilleland and husband Cliff of Wichita Falls, TX,Mary Ellen Bishop of OKC,Yvonne Ruziska of Phoenix, AZ,Joseph Dolin, JR and wife Linda of Shawnee,And several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
