Richard Wayne Flud

Richard Wayne Flud, resident of Shawnee, OK, passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021. He was 73 years old. A funeral ceremony for Richard will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 2:00pm at the First Church of God, 102 Phillips, Ripley, OK 74062. Following the ceremony, Richard will be laid to rest at Parkland Cemetery. Casketbearers will be: Randy Flud, Brandon Flud, Robbie Flud, Chris Flud, Tony Halford, and Josh Cox. Friends and loved ones may pay their respects at Walker Funeral & Cremation Service on Saturday, May 29th from 8am-6pm and Sunday, May 30th from 1-5pm. Richard was born in Bakersfield, California on October 6, 1947 to his parents, Delmar and Mae Flud. He served his country in the United States Army and later worked as a truck driver. Richard married Joyce Hoover on February 5, 1966. He was a man of faith and loved reading the Bible and did so at least 14 times. Richard is survived by his wife, Joyce Flud, daughter, Sandra Stransky and husband Neil, sons, Randy Flud and wife Karrie, Brandon Flud and wife Audrey, and Robbie Flud, sister, Sylvia Hodge, ten grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker Funeral & Cremation Service in Shawnee, OK.
