Ronald C. "Jake" Cejka

Shawnee resident Ronald Clarence “Jake” Cejka, 76, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021 in Shawnee. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Jake was born September 18, 1945 in Laurens, Iowa to Robert and Pearle (Sundermayer) Cejka. He graduated from Laurens High School and later from Buena Vista University with a Bachelor’s Degree. He married Diane (Lincoln) on January 19, 1965 in Sioux City, Iowa. Jake worked much of his life as a farmer and as a sales rep. in the agricultural field. He enjoyed playing chess, fishing, and black powder rifles, watching western and science fiction movies, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and 6 siblings. He is survived by his wife: Diane Cejka of the home, 3 children: Jim Cejka and wife Beth of Lone Rock, IA, Michael Cejka and wife Amanda of Shawnee, and Paul Cejka and wife Nancy of Shawnee. 8 Grandchildren: Heidi Esquibel, Cydnie Cejka, Jeff Cejka, Mackenzie Cejka, Katelyn Cejka, Brandon Cejka, Jody Cejka, and Archer Cejka. 2 brothers: Joe Cejka and wife Laverne of Sandy, OR, and Ralph Cejka and wife Sandy of Sandy, OR. And several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
