Ruth Marie Allen

McLoud resident Ruth Marie Allen, 90, died Thursday, July 13, 2017 in McLoud. Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 17, 2017 at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, OK.  Ruth was born October 27, 1926 in Wetumka, Oklahoma to Marion and Wessie Addison. She attended Lone Star School near Wetumka.  On October 24, 1950 she married Olan Allen. She worked much of her life as a homemaker.  She enjoyed reading and studying the Bible and her family says she’s the world’s oldest professional wrestling fan! Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 2 sisters: Helen Berry and Nellie Hyatt. Survivors include 2 Children: Katherine Sheesley and husband Dean of Harrah, and Denver Jay Allen and wife Carolyn of Shawnee; 3 Step-Children: Olan Woodrow Allen Jr. and wife Glenda of Littleton, CO, Johnny Allen and wife Pat of Shawnee, Sherry Smith and husband Dale of Renton, WA; 11 Grandchildren, 25 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Brothers: Daniel Addison of Wewoka and David Addison of Wetumka; as well as several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
