Ruth Elizabeth Edwards

Ruth Elizabeth Edwards, resident of Prague, OK passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. She was 91 years old. A funeral ceremony for Ruth will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 2:00pm at the Walker Funeral Chapel in Shawnee, OK. Following the ceremony, she will be laid to rest at Arlington Memorial Gardens in Midwest City, OK. Ruth was born on November 8, 1929, in Follett, TX to her parents, Henry and Beulah Britton. Her family moved to Oklahoma where she graduated from Choctaw High School. Ruth married Luther Edwards. She worked in the Bearing Department at Tinker Air Force Base. Ruth lived a faithful life and volunteered her time in her church’s nursery. She enjoyed knitting Christmas ornaments for family members and keeping her mind sharp by working puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three daughters, one son-in-law, and two grandchildren. Ruth will be missed by her daughters, Dora and husband Jerry, Jackie and husband Michael, Lola and husband Bobbie, son, Benny and wife Ginger, 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild. Services are under the direction of Walker Funeral & Cremation Service.
