Born on August 5, 1931, in Oklahoma City, Ruth spent her life nurturing her family and community, becoming a cornerstone in the lives of so many who had the privilege of knowing her.

Ruth was a proud graduate of Rush Springs High School. Blessed with an immense talent for homemaking, she dedicated herself to her family as a loving mother, a skilled seamstress, and an extraordinary cook. The aroma of her home-cooked meals and the sight of her lovingly made clothing created countless joyous memories during family holidays and gatherings. As one of her family members reflected, "How could any of us pick a memory? They were all the best." Her kitchen was often filled with laughter, the scent of delicious food, and the warmth of family togetherness.

Beyond her remarkable skills in the kitchen and at the sewing machine, Ruth nurtured a gentle spirit that left an indelible mark on her community. Described as the most giving and caring woman, she had a big heart that she willingly shared with anyone in need. Ruth’s commitment to her faith was evident as she faithfully attended Sunday morning church services, and she demonstrated her love for Jesus and her family in every aspect of her life.

She took immense pride in her grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to showcase her joy in her role as a matriarch. Her pride extended to her great-grandchildren and she beamed with delight over her three great-great-granddaughters. She loved to tell anyone who would listen about her family, celebrating their achievements and moments together with unparalleled joy.

In addition to her family commitments, Ruth found happiness in her hobbies, which included oil painting, ceramics, quilting, and knitting. Through her artistry, she shared her creativity and love, leaving behind beautiful pieces that her family will treasure forever.
