Sidney Wayne Snider was born Jan 10, 1958, in the elevator of Norman Regional Hospital, Norman, Oklahoma. He was the son of George and Patricia (Wilson) Snider. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 06, 2023, in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Wayne was a 1976 Shawnee High School graduate. After high school he attended Oscar Rose Junior College and was a co-owner of Grand Café, Town Talk Café, and BB&G Marine with his dad, brother, uncles, and a cousin. Wayne also worked at Tom Flora Photography, where he was able to nurture his passion for photography and allowed him to produce many beautiful photographs of his family, friends, and many adventures in life. He then worked at Shawnee Motor Supply where he and the love of his life, Brenda, met and their love story of a lifetime began. Wayne then worked for Aztec Building Systems for 25 years. He worked for Markwell Paving and George Fischer as a maintenance supervisor until he retired in 2017.

Growing up Wayne was involved in Boy Scouts of America, Little league baseball and football, Jr high and high school football, and the Shawnee Round-Up Club. As an adult, he was an avid water and motor sports fanatic. He skied, drove boats really fast, he scuba dived, cliff dived, noodled and rode any sort of motorcycle or dune buggy as fast and hard as he could. However, one of his favorite pastimes was night fishing for crappy at Highway 69 bridge, Lake Eufaula, with his family and friends. He was also active in UMYF and a lifelong member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

Wayne was preceded in death by his grand-parents, Mitchell and Dora Snider, Jack and Cora Fay Wilson and Blanche Wilson; parents, George Dale Snider and Patricia (Wilson) Snider, parents in law Charlee and Mary Barnett, brothers, George Dale Snider Jr. and Michael Snider; cousin, Lawaun McGowan and nephew, Ryan Dale Snider- Jones.
