Sylvia Ann Florence

It is with great sadness that the family of Sylvia Ann Florence announces her passing on December 8, 2017 at the age of 77. Sylvia will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 57 years, Charles and their children Kathy, Tina and Gayla. Her daughter Cheryl is with Sylvia in heaven. Sylvia will also be remembered by her sons-in-law, Jay, Duane and Wayland. Sylvia was blessed with five grandchildren Matt, Taylor, Josh, Reed, Charli, and one great grandchild, Rylee. A native of Oklahoma, Sylvia grew up in Kingfisher, attended Big Four schools where she played basketball and later attended Oklahoma State University. She worked in the insurance industry and was a teacher's aide and secretary at McLoud Public Schools. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in McLoud where she taught Sunday School and enjoyed many hours volunteering in the nursery. A celebration of Sylvia's life will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, December 13, at the First United Methodist Church in McLoud.
