Thelma Louise Hardin

Thelma Louise Hardin was born May 18, 1934 in Tecumseh, Oklahoma and departed this life Friday, June 15, 2018 in Shawnee at the age of 84.Thelma, the daughter of Jack Samuel and Walsie Wanez (Jordan) Tomlinson was a graduate of Tecumseh High School. She married Eric Bruce Hardin Jr. on October 7, 1953 and enjoyed fifty years of marriage prior to his passing on March 12, 2004. Thelma enjoyed cooking and playing basketball, she enjoyed playing piano and singing, and she enjoyed spending time with her family at Lake Tenkiller. Nothing was more important to Thelma, than her four grandchildren, whom she adored.Thelma was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Richard Bruce Hardin; and her brother, Jack Glen Tomlinson.She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Charles Hawkins, of Edmond; daughter-in-law, Cindy Hardin of Shawnee; grandchildren, Mollie Hawkins, Matthew Hawkins, Jade Hardin, and Savanah and Nick Hartson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Jan Tomlinson of Shawnee, Lynn and Virginia Tomlinson of Shawnee, and Dick and Janice Tomlinson of Tecumseh, and many nieces and nephews.A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Tecumseh Cemetery in Tecumseh with Jim Clay officiating. Services are under the direction of Walker Funeral Service in Shawnee.
