Virgil Lee Middleton, born on October 4, 1963, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on October 21, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and dedication that will be cherished by all who had the privilege to know him.
Virgil graduated from Strother High School before embarking on a successful career as a machinist at Central Plastics. He later advanced to the role of Production Supervisor at Georg Fischer-Central Plastics, an achievement he took great pride in.
Virgil had a natural ability to help anyone in need and approached life with a kind heart and an open hand.
A man of many passions, Virgil was an avid outdoorsman. He found joy in hunting, fishing, and riding horses—activities that reflected his love for nature. His horses brought him immense joy and peace, offering a sanctuary where he felt truly at home. Colleagues and friends alike will remember him as a cowboy at heart, one who possessed an unmatched ability to fix problems, big or small.
In his personal life, Virgil was immensely proud of the life he had built. He leaves behind his beloved daughter, Brandi Middleton, who he was always cheering her on and supporting her endeavors. Virgil also cherished the bond he shared with his nephew, Jeremiah Stevenson, his wife Tommie, and their son Kolton. He is survived by his sister, Patty Morelan, along with many cousins who will fondly remember him.
Virgil was preceded in death by his parents, Carol Kay Middleton and Robert Lee Middleton.
A memorial service to honor his life will be held at Walker Funeral Chapel in on October 28, 2024, starting at 2:00 PM. Friends, family, and all whose lives were graced by Virgil’s kindness are invited to come together to celebrate his remarkable journey and the love he shared.
