Wanda Lou Sands

Shawnee resident Wanda Lou (Moore) Sands, 77, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018 in an Oklahoma City hospital. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 7 in the chapel of Walker Funeral Service. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Wanda was born December 25, 1940 in Bristow, Oklahoma to Lindsey Buster & Oma Bernice (Mullins) Moore. She graduated from Southeast High School in Oklahoma City, and on November 30, 1963 she married Douglas Sands in Oklahoma City. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene for over 50 years. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her son, Gary Sands, of ShawneeGranddaughters: Megan & Josh Insell of Oklahoma City; Lindsey Sands of Pink, and Marie Sands of ShawneeGreat-Grandchildren: Logan Turner, Devon Penrod and Aria Ansill.Sister: Virginia Moore of Ft. Worth, TXSeveral nieces and nephews.
