Wilburn Hubbard

Wilburn Hubbard, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend passed from this life at the age of 88 on Thursday, February 15th, 2024. 

He was born to Milton and Verna (Stewart) Hubbard on August 23, 1935 North of Seminole, OK. He married Laverne (Markwell) on October 7, 1956 in Shawnee. They were married 67 years. To this union three children were born: Deanna, Conna and Danny.

During his early years he worked for Keith Mouser and Jonco Aircraft. He was a truck driver for T.G.&Y. stores driving from coast to coast for 20 years. Before retirement he worked for Farm Fresh and Tinker Air Force Base.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Laverne, daughter Conna Webb and husband Steve of Meeker, son Danny Hubbard and wife Tara of Meeker, son-in-law Mike Wood of Meeker. Six grandchildren, Shai Coss of Meeker, Jaron Carder of Chandler, Zack Wood of OKC, Jacob Wood of Meeker, Daniel Webb and Jonathon Webb of Dallas, TX. Six great grandchildren, Sierra Castoe, Seth Castoe, Carlie and Max Webb, Crew Wood and Aubrey Carder.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deanna (Dee) Gail Wood, his parents Milton and Verna Hubbard, brothers Bill, Leroy, Clifford, Eldon and Johnnie Hubbard and sister Mary Kennedy.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 19, 2024 at Aydelotte Church of Christ. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker.
