William Sheridan (Jay) Pennock, 59, of Shawnee, OK entered into eternal life on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 after battling diabetes for several years. William worked as a forklift operator for several years at Kwikset, as well as road construction and masonry work. He enjoyed spending quality time with family and always was proud of his native descent. He was a member of the Sac & Fox Tribe, as well as Arapaho. On January 29, 1996 he married Donna Cline. He will always be remembered for his love to make people laugh – he enjoyed cutting wood and being out in the timbers. He also enjoyed cooking for all of his loved ones. He had a heart of gold. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Donna Pennock, of the home; his two daughters, Ashley Pennock and Lacey Pennock, both of Shawnee, a son-in-law, Nicholas Kien of Shawnee, and a God-sent grandson, Noah “Sheridan” Kien of Shawnee, his pride and joy, that motivated him to continue battling his sickness. He is also survived by three sisters, Barbara, Patty & Jean, one brother, Richard Pennock, all of Shawnee, and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 24, 2017 at the First Indian Baptist Church with wake services to follow at 7:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. the following morning. Tribal Burial will be at 8:00 a.m. Monday, December 25, 2017 at Wakolee Cemetery.
