Winston Harden

August 31, 1942 — October 13, 2018

Winston Harden was a Christian man who loved his family and friends and living a simple life. He was the go to guy on how to make fudge and party mix at Christmas time. He would make pans of both. Then he would wrap or bag it and give it to his family and friends. He would really take pleasure in delivering his finished product. When spring time came around he would be talking up the next garden he was going to plant. Even though there were only two people living in his home, he felt compelled to grow enough vegetables to share with family and friends. Delivery was usually part of the deal. He spent his career in agricultural seed sales and was an Independent Representative for Hoegemeyer Seed Company at the time of his death. He loved the land and being able to see the land produce. He loved the friends he made along the way which has spanned into many years and many friends. He had a genuine concern for people and their well-being. He was generous and honest to a fault and could always find the good in everyone. He was an active member of Faith Community Church of God. Winston was born August 31, 1942 in Plainview, TX. At the age of one year, he and his mother moved to Moyers, Oklahoma where he was raised. He graduated from Moyers High School. In 1966 he graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture Education and his love for Oklahoma State University has remained strong and true. Winston was in the Army Reserves from 1959-1968. It was here where he honed his skills for cooking. On May 30, 1986, Winston married Chris Farnsworth Clark and they formed a blended family. As time went on they were blessed with sons-in-law and a daughter-in-law, grandchildren, and one great granddaughter.
